RESTORING THE STATE THEATRE

Business Plan Outlines the Future
Venuetech Management Group has prepared a Business Plan for the Auburn Placer Performing Arts Center.
The organization is a consulting and management firm involved in the business planning, capital development and direct management of community-based organizations and public assembly facilities.
A significant portion of the firm's business is focused on the restoration and reuse of historic buildings and the use of entertainment, cultural arts and public venues as a catalyst for economic development.
The report provides an analysis of the performing arts business, suggests project development, and provides an operations plan that establishes ticket pricing, rental policies and fundraising.
John Lind, President and CEO of Venuetech talked recently of the value of "using historic theaters as a vital tool for economic development, cultual growth, and building a sense of community."
He has been involved in theater restoration throughout the country, most recently the State Theatre in Eureka, a 1928 movie house similar to Auburn's which is now a 500 seat venue.
